Definitely waterproof, plus soft and comfortable!
I have a 95 pound white lab mix who thinks my teal green couch is her bed. She sheds all of the time and fights stinky ear infections in her big floppy ears, so having a good barrier helps keep my couch guest-ready. I also have a small Jack Russell who likes to sneak off and remind us occasionally that the couch needs to smell like him, if you know what I mean. This blanket has been a real couch saver that I can throw in the washer if the need arises. It washes and dries nicely and fits well, covering the couch and cushions well, plus it’s soft a comfortable but heavy enough to stay where I put it. No regrets from me!

If you’re a pet owner, you absolutely have to have this!
For anybody who’s a pet owner, you know that Miss Hopp can happen at any time. You always have to expect the unexpected. This blanket protects any surface that I put it on. Sometimes I use it on my couch, when I travel, I placed this over their doggy beds, I put it on my bed when I decide to let the dogs lay on the bed with me. This is absolutely waterproof. It’s very thick, great material, nothing is going to penetrate this. I definitely recommend this if you have pets. And the coverage is incredible pretty large.

Not So Great Over Time
I purchased this blanket after returning another waterproof dog blanket with problematic washing instructions. I have two elderly dogs with varying degrees of urinary incontinence and would like for them to be able to sleep on the bed with me. The reviews on this blanket were so much better than all the others and the washing instructions were perfect.It did well for us at first but after one of my dogs had an increase in her incontinence following major surgery, this blanket was getting tossed in the washer more often. I always wash it in cold water and tumble-dry it on the low setting (which was easy because that is how I do almost all of my laundry anyway). As of this writing, I have had it for about five weeks and it has probably been washed 1-2 times weekly since it arrived.I use another kind of washable pee pads as the primary protection for their leaks but sometimes my dogs bunch those up overnight or sleep near the edge of one and urine will soak down to this blanket. When that first happened, it wasn’t a problem, I tossed it in the wash and by bedtime we were all set to go for the night. However, the last two times urine has gotten down to this blanket, it has seeped through the blanket and down into my bedding, making it all the way through a quilt, blanket, sheet, and to the fitted sheet; fortunately the urine hasn’t reached the mattress either time. There wasn’t noticeable moisture on the bedding beneath the blanked but the odor was strong and unmistakable. (Because of her age and recent bladder surgery, she sometimes leaks quite a lot and doesn’t realize it because she sleeps so soundly.)I really wanted this blanket to be the solution for us but unfortunately, it just isn’t working out as I had hoped. The return window has closed, so I will probably keep using it to at least protect my bedding from dirt and dog hair but I will have to layer something else into the mix to actually keep the urine from seeping through while she is still recovering.I will say it is rather cozy material and if your main concern is dirt and dog hair, this might be a good option but if you are trying to protect against urine and other smelly stuff, this one doesn’t stand the test of time and repeated washings.

Great quality, soft, lovely colour and covers the entire bottom half of our king sized bed. It’s already earned its keep, because within a week one of my dogs had a ‘leaky butt’ accident on it. So gross. But this time, instead of having to strip the entire bed, I only had to wash the blanket – nothing leaked through. Job well done! And it came through the wash perfectly; still looks like new. Definitely recommend!

Die Decke fühlt sich angenehm an, sieht gut aus und ist tatsächlich wasserundurchlässig. Und was noch viel wichtiger ist, die ist haarundurchlässig.Zum trocknen raus hängen oder nach der ersten Runde in trockner die Decke einmal drehen und eine zweite runde trocknen lassen. Sonst geht’s nicht.
