Toddler sling
I’m so glad I was able to try out this ComfyHold carrier. My 17-month old toddler is attached to my hip and constantly wants to be carried. Since she is getting bigger, it’s becoming harder on my arms! This carrier is so light and compact, I love how easy it is to throw in the stroller, car, or diaper bag. It’s very easy to use too. I found it’s easiest to put it on myself with a loose front strap first, then bend down and put the loop over my baby’s head and situate the sit over her bottom. Once everything is in place, lift her up and tighten the strap. It really helps distribute her weight much more evenly. It does start to hurt my shoulder eventually, but overall it functions beautifully to take the strain off my arms. The material and quality of construction is excellent, as I would expect from the Boppy brand. Love this sling!

Crucial Safety Warning: This is Hip Support, NOT a Hands Free Carrier
The Boppy ComfyHold Cross Body Hip Carrier is a brilliant concept for parents who frequently hold their children for long periods. It successfully relieves a lot of the strain and weight on the carrying arm, but it is imperative that buyers understand what this product is and what it is not. What It Is: An Excellent Weight Relief ToolThis carrier is effectively a soft, padded seat for the child’s bottom that transfers the baby’s weight across the parent’s shoulder and hip. This design is highly beneficial for the parent, allowing you to lighten the load and shift the weight away from a single tired arm or shoulder. For children who enjoy being held or parents who prefer constant skin to skin contact, this product will certainly extend the comfortable duration of carrying time. I truly appreciate the clever way it helps manage the weight for the adult. What It Is NOT: A Hands Free CarrierThis is the most critical safety point. Despite being called a “carrier,” this product does not provide any structural support for the baby’s body.Zero Child Support: There is no support for the baby’s back or head. The designated place for the baby’s bottom is a soft seat that lacks any type of firm or rigid support for the child’s torso. No Securing Harness: Crucially, the design does not include any leg straps or harnesses to secure the child to the seat itself.Fall Risk: You must always have an arm securely wrapped around your child when using this item. Otherwise, the child will fall backward or to the side and fall out of the product. The item is merely meant to relieve some of the weight and transfer the load to the other shoulder to lighten the burden.Safety Alliance Verified, But Requires Constant Parent InputWhile the seat provides a comfortable and wide resting spot for the baby, it is essential to view this item as an assistive device to relieve parent fatigue, not a typical carrier that offers hands free convenience. It simply distributes the load so your arm gets less tired, but your arm is still absolutely required to keep the baby upright and secure. Conclusion:This is a great idea and a useful product if you fully understand its function. I think that it is a great idea, especially for those children who like being held or parents who love holding their child for a long duration of time. This will be beneficial for them. However, buyers expecting a traditional carrier with full back and head support, or one that allows for hands free use, will be disappointed and potentially risk their child’s safety. This is a hands on hip seat, not a hands free baby carrier.

So Helpful for Parents!
This baby carrier is great! We have one small toddler and another newborn on the way, so we know just how helpful these are! We have used similar ones before, and they are fantastic for keeping your baby safe and securely attached to you. It stores nice and compact when not in use. It can hold a baby probably until a year or more, depending on the size of baby and the parent! The best part is it keeps one of your hands free to do other things! The material feels very sturdy and the inside has a nice mesh lining. What I really like is how it helps take the weight off your arms and back! It puts some of the weight on your shoulder instead, which is so much more comfortable. This is going to be so useful for us around the house and when we are out! This is a great value for such a helpful carrier!

Easy to use and very helpful
I’m 5’9″ and over 200 lbs, and this fits me just fine. It’s well-designed and helps relieve arm fatigue when carrying my little one. I feel sturdier and more supported with this on compared to just holding my baby in one arm. The sling itself is solid and well-constructed, and the materials feel durable. Definitely worth the investment for the comfort and value it offers… especially if you’re looking for something compact and easy to use for short trips or quick errands. It’s super functional too since it stores away easily when not in use.

Fantastic value and my shoulders love it
I have a stage 1000 clinger and getting them to stand alone isn’t worth the tantrums, so buying multiple carrier types has been my life the last year+. This is an excellent shoulder-support hip style carrier. I have a couple of the hip carriers that go around my hips and are all back support and they work well but sometimes I need the flexibility of this style. With this Boppy carrier I can get toddler up/down immediately and my back and hips aren’t holding the entire burden of their 25lb body.Price is cheaper than some of those fancy ones yet it works just as well, and I’m comfortable and confident toddler is safe while sitting on my hip with this carrier supporting us both.
