These are great. I dont have kids, but I have cats and under 2 of my sinks need to be off limits to them for reasons. Both ends of these locks have indents so they rest nicely on the knobs and give it an extra snug lock. While locked, the cabinets can still be pulled open a very small bit, but BARELY. Not even far enough to slip my finger in. These work great, and priced very well.

You have to make sure the latch portion is not upside down
I got these to keep my cat out of our cabinets. They work.One thing to be aware of: the latch portion will slide on the U-bar without depressing the release buttons in one direction, presumably so you don’t have to hold the buttons in, while re-locking.What this means is that if you put the latch on upside down (which is easy to do since there is no visual indicator), the lock will easily unlock by simple pulling. The teeth aren’t worn out, it’s not a case of a weak spring, it’s just working as designed, but not as expected. You just have to reverse the latch, and it works as you would expect.A better design IMHO would not slide at all, because the buttons are very easy to use.
