This food processor is a best buy!!!
I really like this mini food processor. I have a larger Cuisinart food processor as well, but since I am single I thought this smaller one would be a good choice for me. It is small enough that it minces garlic or ginger well and is a lot easier to use for that than my garlic press or mini-grater for this purpose. I do a lot of ethnic cooking and like to use whole spices like nutmeg, cumin seeds, szechuan peppers, ect., grinding them as I need them. Although I don’t believe this food processor was intended for that, I found it does it well. I love the fact that the blade will go both directions, one to chop and the other to grind. I can’t tell any real difference in the results by using just one or the other method, but using the processor both ways does an excellent job of evenly processing all the spices. When I use it for tomatoes and onions, it chops from coarse to fine depending on how long I hold the button. It gives pretty good control over being able to control how coarse or fine you want the results to be.Again, I doubt if it was intended for this, but it works well as a blender as well. It works excellent in making dips like hummus by just adding all the ingredients at once. Again, using the blade in both directions helps giving excellent results. The bowl, blade, and top are much easier to clean than my larger processor. I use this processor almost daily and hardly ever use my larger processor any more. I have taken the larger processor off my counter and it has given me more counter space. I really like the Cuisinart brand as it is always (except for a teakettle I purchased) well made and high quality. I have learned to trust the brand and at this price, the Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus Food Processor is an excellent buy.

    Great little food processor!
I’ve had a large, heavy 14-cup Cuisinart food processor for years, which I love and have used for everything from making bread dough to shredding cheese, pureeing soups or other blender-type tasks, dicing vegetables, and even making nut butters, oat flour, and more. But it’s so large and heavy and was a pain to get out for small things, plus the large work bowl wasn’t well suited for some of these smaller tasks, either. So, I finally decided to get one of these. It’s great! It’s lightweight, easy to get out or put away, and is very convenient for small tasks. In my case, I often use it to make just a cup of oat flour or to “blend” blueberries and bananas into plain yogurt as an easy breakfast. It’s so convenient I’ve used it almost every day for the last month (since I got it), unlike my large model that I only got out if I really thought the effort was worth it. It’s also fairly easy to clean. The manual says all removable parts ares dishwasher safe, but I’ve mostly been hand washing to make sure it’s ready for the next day (but the dishwasher has also worked). There are some disadvantages, one obvious: it’s quite small, so it’s not suitable for larger jobs (or heavier–the motor says 250 W; my large one is 720 W). Even with a 4-cup bowl, I can’t imagine making much more than 1 cup of oat flour or similar dry ingredients before it gets to be too much. But that’s perfect for me — it’s actually better than my large one for this small of an amount. It’s also quite loud. I got ear plugs to wear while using it, which I know sounds excessive but really seems like a good idea with this unit.Other disadvantages include a non-waterproof lid (or really anything-proof): there are two small holes in the top, apparently by design. This mostly isn’t a problem unless it’s probably too full — again, you won’t really get a full 4 cups — and the contents are watery; in actual use, this has rarely come up for me. Also, replacement parts practically cost more than the unit itself, which I discovered after I considered buying another bowl, lid, and blade (to worry about washing less) since I’m using mine almost every day. Some may also not like that the unit is gray but is actually plastic instead of stainless steel, though I don’t personally mind. All things considered, this is a great unit as long as you’re aware of the capacity and power–but it works well for its size! If you’re like me and want an alternative to your larger food processor, I’d consider this one (but if you’re looking for mostly larger jobs, probably start with one of those instead).

Chops well – cleans easily – small enough to live on the countertop
This little food processor is an awesome addition to my kitchen. Honestly, it gets dinner started for me so quickly (my mom used to say ‘while you decide what to make for dinner, start peeling and chopping an onion’). This takes most of the work (and tears) out of that little chore.Things I love about the cuisinart miniprep:1 – size – it’s small enough to live on the counter – its big brother is such a pain to drag out of the cabinet, find the right blade, set up, run, breakdown, clean and put away that it only comes out for the big jobs. This little mini processor is only about as big around as a roll of paper towels, and not as tall. Very worth the counter-space, but also compact and light if you store it in a cabinet and need to get it out. Ease of access makes this a great addition to my kitchen2 – effectiveness – honestly, i mostly use it for chopping up onions or other vegetables. (oh, i made herb butter in it too that came out really good). I think it does quite a good job. Like any processor, the longer you run it the finer the pieces. I find that one medium yellow onion, peeled and quartered, takes about 4 pulses for a coarse chop, and about 7 pulses for a fine enough chop for my husband, who hates onions – or at least hates them coarsely chopped. There is a reverse direction that can be used to grind. I really have not used that feature enough to fairly evaluate.3 – cleanup. There are four pieces to this processor. The motor/base, which plugs into the wall, the bowl, the blade, and the lid. I wash the bowl, blade and lid in the dishwasher – top shelf – so clean up is a breeze. the base wipes down easily with a damp cloth.4 – sound – i usually warn anyone watching TV that ‘it’s going to be a little loud.’ before i pulse, but really it is a pretty quiet machine. Depending on what you’re chopping, it’s likely that the actual noise of the chopping will be much louder than the motor (wish that were true of my ninja blender). And really the bowl is pretty small so the chopping goes fast. All in all – this is a little workhorse of a processor. Maybe a bit of a one-trick pony (staying with the equine metaphors), but one that sees frequent enough use in my household that it gets a permanent spot on the countertop. It’s held up well for a few years with no decline in performance, and I can honestly say, it’s one of my favorite appliances.

This is not suitable in our family . To operate this a additional requirement is required which I don’t want to buy.

Es un buen procesador prácticamente para raciones para 2 personas, muy fácil de usar, uno presiona los botones el tiempo necesario para dejar el picado o batido de los alimentos según nuestras necesidades. Muy satisfecho

NOT FOR THE EU COMES WITH A US PLUG!!!I can smell the engine when I run it even when using an adaptor. I think the wattage is too high for the EU. Also can’t put the barrel in the dishwasher or food gets stuck in side the handle and it has a special type of screw to unscrew it so I can’t get it clean. Don’t buy.
