This works!
I purchased a different one before I got this one because I thought this one looked like it wouldn’t hold up outside but it’s great! So glad I decided to try it. It’s sound emitter “ringer” that you plug in inside is smaller than I thought it would be but I love that too, it’s so cute! It’s barely noticeable and looks nice. It has a ton of chimes so that’s fun if you’re into that. I have had it for +/- a week or so now and maybe twice a bird has set it off but overall I’m so happy with the “no false alarms” and functionality of this thing. We use it in our driveway in the country. It worked right out of the box too and was easy to set up. You can add other “eyes” but it would be the same ring/sound so I thought that would just be confusing. It would be perfect for a porch or similar. I do have other areas I would like to have this so I plan on purchasing more so they will have different tones. I’m sorry I don’t know the range. I have the “eye” on the driveway at the street of a normal size front yard and the “ringer” is in plugged in the entryway. Oh and you can plug in the “eye” and if that’s an option for you. It comes with the batteries and the USB cable. (you will need a cube). It also has little sticky strips you can use to narrow the “eye” if you need that. Hope this helps. It’s worth it. The first one I got cost more and just plain didn’t work and was very difficult to set up. This is worth it.

Works although birds, even a deer running down the driveway, will trigger the device. Rings like a doorbell.

Works great. I have this setup outside (behind a gate opening) with the receiver plugged into a hallway outlet. I like that you can simply unplug (to turn off) or move the receiver to another outlet if needed.

Great security sensor
I have a lot of delivery drivers that come by but I’m usually in the back part of the house so I never see them. I bought this motion sensor for my driveway to alert me when someone pulls in, and it does exactly that. The range is great – it worked well over 100 feet through multiple walls. The detection range itself was good, it maxed out around 25 feet.I planned to get a 2nd one to install inside my mailbox so I can be notified when the mail is being delivered, but unfortunately the signal did not make it out. With that being said, the hub supports 4 sensors which is great, meaning you wouldn’t need to have a second hub plugged in somewhere.The hub itself has way too many sound options (over 30), but not enough volume levels. The lowest level was still quite loud. There were a few holiday jingles as well – which are great if you want to place this by the front door for guests to hear.Overall the device works as intended. It’s only IP44 rated, so your mileage may vary depending where you place it, but for the price, I can’t really complain.

Good when it works but doesn’t always woek
Great when it works, doesn’t always work. This is the second one of this brand I’ve purchased when the first one stopped working. Cheap enough to get , but does not always alert when vehicles cross. Then sometimes it will ring for bunnies or birds . For the price it’s ok. But I wish I could depend on it.

I have an old farmhouse close to a heavily used blacktop road with a fairly long driveway. In the summer it’s pretty hard to distinguish passing traffic and the sound of someone pulling into the drive. My mailbox is up in the driveway, not at the road. it’s actually a circle drive. Now I can hear when the mail is delivered instead of running out several times to check the mailbox which will be really nice this winter. Also it is so handy when having a garage sale. I don’t have to sit in the garage or miss a car that drove away because I was busy doing something else. I live alone and have to tend to it myself which makes for a lot of running back and forth and in my 70’s that can get tiring. This has a very long range and really like that I can position it more towards the West of the drive that faces a field than down the drive that faces the road and traffic. If you get heavy thunderstorms like we do, I would recommend wrapping a clear saran wrap around the sensor to protect it from a hard rain. Even though mine is under the over hang a hard rain with still reach it and the directions say to try and keep it from a blistering heat or constant rain to prolong the life. Just because it’s water proof that may not be true under certain conditions or lifespan. I was pleasantly surprised to hear all the ringtones especially the nice selection of Christmas choices. I do unplug the inside unit at night because of the deer and critters setting it off in the wee hours. I find this unit to be very practical and useful, also it says batteries for the outside sensor not included but there were batteries in my package. When those get worn down I only use rechargeables so won’t have to buy any. Good Product, worth every penny and several people who have heard it chime when another car drives in have purchased this same unit on Amazon..
