These nipples are very hard to find in regular retail stores, in fact, they were impossible to find. Now in charge of our first grandchild while Mommy serves our country, it is time for me to once again, prep up my household for baby.Being that he is ready to have rice included as part of his diet, I resorted to trying to make bigger holes in his regular nipples by heating up large needles and piercing the nipple while the needle was hot, didn’t work, I tried cutting a cross cut hole with a sharp knife, didn’t work….finally I decided to search Amazon and lo and behold….there they were, cross-cut nipples with 2 day shipping!! Thank you Amazon. Received the nipples yesterday and was pleasantly surprised and pleased to find out that the rings were also included with the nipples. I am not too sure if this was in the description or not. However, the package I received had a ring with each nipple. Each nipple and ring was also individually wrapped. I will probably be buying more in the near future. I highly recommend this nipple. Our little one has no problems with his rice cereal while using this nipple.

Perfect for Traveling With Older Babies
We use these when we travel and don’t want to carry a bunch of bottles with us. Instead, we buy the Similac Ready to Feed (RTF) bottles and use these caps with them. We have a beach vacation planned next month where we are flying to our destination so it so much more convenient not having to pack the RTF formula plus her bottles. Instead, we are packing these nipples with our RTFs which allows us less to pack and even less to bring back.Yes, these Enfamil nipples fit the Similac Ready to Feed 8oz bottles. I also like that the nipple is cross cut, ensuring faster flow for my 11 month old. Not just for traveling, its also nice to throw one of these nipples (individually wrapped) and a RTF in the diaper bag when we are out for a long day.

Low tone, great suction
My son has hypotonia and has been followed by speech therapy since birth. He has graduated from Dr. Brown’s ultra-preemie to preemie to size 1, to size 2. When he was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital at 4 months old, they switched him to the blue size 1 Enfamil nipple. He THRIVED on that. So when it came time to thicken his formula for medical reasons at 10 months old, we ordered the cross cut yellow Enfamil nipple. It has been amazing for him. His feedings are faster and there is less drooling mid-feeding because he only sucks when he wants formula and the harder he sucks, the more formula he gets so he’s not overwhelmed. It has helped with his coughing and I feel like there’s less risk of aspiration on this nipple because of the baby controlled flow. I would and have recommended in my support groups. Thank you.

Fits standard bottles, especially Medela brand
These work just fine for what they are. They come with both the nipple and the plastic ring. They snap into the ring very snuggly so there’s no chance of leakage even if babies rough on it.These aren’t so good if the baby is a strong sucker. They tend to get sucked into itself and kind of collapse in half. Once my little one got to be 10 months or so on this it was a little harder for him to use because of the collapsing which caused him to suck even harder, but they still worked. Just a little soft. These worked perfectly with the Medela bottles I got with my pump every few months.

Love these nipples
Love these nipples! I would prefer being able to get them in the clear silicone with a cross cut top, but these are just fine. The silicone ones I found have a new style “vent” that just adds more hassle to cleaning. I bought these for my granddaughter several months ago when she started to hold her bottle upside down to watch it drip. Another issue it deals with is a bottle laying on its side and dripping…the cross cut nipples don’t drip. Unlike the “old days” when the brown nipples got sticky after a number of months use…these haven’t. I first started using cross cut nipples 30 years ago when I discovered they didn’t drip. Fifty years ago I had a neighbor that actually used the cross cut nipples to feed her daughter baby food while on the run…she simply added a little extra milk and shook it up.

The nipple opening isn’t as wide as Dr. Brown Y-cut
These are X cut, so I assumed the opening would be pretty much the same as Dr. Brown’s Y cut opening but they’re not. The Y cut opens wider, which is what I need in order to put baby cereal in his bottle, or mix pureed stage 1 baby food in with his formula, which I do often I don’t have an option to feed his baby food by spoon. In short – these nipples are good for older babies who need Fast Flow, but not good for adding cereal or pureed baby food to the formula.

I have searched and searched for a nipple that my son would eat out of. I’ve tried them all and these are the only ones he likes. So greatful to have found something he will finally use. This is a wonderful product at a good price, I was glad to be able to purchase them as a 12 pack so I don’t have to wash nipples all day every day.I used these for about a year with my son and never had any problem with the nipple wearing down or breaking. They were great quality and I loved that they were universal and could be used on just about any of the bottles I had purchased.

Terrible !!!! The nipples r so much thicker than the blue ones!! And even I squeeze the bottle , mike doesn’t come out form the cross cut holes . Terrible !! Much slower than the blue ones
