WOW! So impressed by this excellently engineered, affordable machine!
I have been on the fence for the last couple years about buying a UV sanitizer for my cpap machine. The first ones that came out were ridiculously expensive, plus they were solely geared towards cpaps, so not great for sanitizing anything else. I decided to wait – and boy, am I glad I did! The Grownsy sterilizer is AWESOME. It arrived in 2 days. I was surprised by how roomy and spacious it was – it’s one thing to read the dimensions online, it’s another when faced with this lovely, roomy container that’s deep and wide enough to fit a variety of accoutrements. It even has a detachable wire shelf that fits in the top if desired to hold smaller items.Operation couldn’t be simpler. There’s an “Auto” button that first dries, and then sterilizes, your items. You can choose to do either function separately, or you can store items in there as well. But a single dial is all you need to do to select these various functions. SUPER EASY. Nothing to do to set it up, just plug and play.Although I purchased primarily for my cpap components (and it’s roomy enough to do the all of them at once) it comes at a good time (Covid) for wanting to disinfect more objects! I will be throwing our cellphones in there, our remotes, and any other shared objects in the house. I can’t say enough about this. Makes me want to sanitize the world!PS we don’t have any babies in the house anymore, but if they would have had these when my son was an infant, I definitely would have wanted this for bottle sterilization. So if any of you reading this are new parents, don’t hesitate to use this magical box! Like I said, spacious enough to accommodate a whole slew of bottles and nipples at one go, and be confident they’re being sterilized in a thorough manner. A+!

Is the smell safe?
So I bought this for my CPAP hose, mask and reservoir. I used it for the first time today and it was roomy and easy to use.When I went to use my CPAP later in the night there was a smell coming through the mask. Nothing terrible but I didn’t know if it was safe.I did some quick looking around to see if I’d be using my CPAP tonight and I found different answers. Someone on Reddit said the smell is VOCs from melting plastic which is basically what I feared. Others say that the smell is ozone from stuff breaking down. (Is this even safe?) Reading that people observe a smell even with glass bottles made me feel like the smell might not be VOCs. Even the product instructions mention using lemon to deal with a smell.So I don’t know what it is and I don’t know if it’s safe either. I’m not using my CPAP tonight as crap as that will be and I’ll do more research tomorrow. Any answers are appreciated. I might actually return the product.

Good functionality but small capacity
I used it to dry and sanitize baby bottles, pumping parts, pacifiers, teethers etc. for a few months. Compared to the traditional steam sterilizer, this UV sanitizer is better:– more convenient: no need to fill up water or clean the water part– safer if you use PP bottles, because they release microplastics under repeated high temperature– nice storage function with additional UV light sanitizationHowever, the weaknesses are:– the drying takes a long time (at least 50 minutes)– relatively small capacity: the tray only holds a few nipplesWe also have a steam bottle dryer sterilizer. This was a useful secondary sanitizer during the months when we had to use a lot of bottles and pumping parts.

Great to Clean Your CPAP Machine Weekly!!!
I use this for my CPAP machine for weekly cleanings. This makes my mask smell new each time I use it. It’s very durable and has a smaller than expected fingerprint. It has a cool drying function I use as well after I do my monthly wash of CPAPS supplies. It doesn’t seem large enough to fit everything inside, but it does. I’ve also used to UV clean my toothbrushes and other supplies I don’t want to wash. I really recommend this unit.

Good quality! It has 4 functions, and is so easy to use. There was a slight smell in the beginning, but it eventually stopped over time. We use our machine once or twice a week to sanitize our CPAP supplies ,and have had it for about 6-9 months now. I would definitely recommend it!

Love,Love,Love this unit!! It’s so great to place your C-Pap pieces into it, push the button and know all bacteria & germs have been removed. It has a slight ozone smell but not a big deal. Don’t put your mouth guard in it though, it takes on a yucky metallic taste. My husband and I loathed having to clean our pieces every day. Now it’s a snap!! You will love this!❤️

Defective item
I bought this to sanitize my CPAP mask and water tank each day. The first use was as one would expect. I noticed a purplish glow from the window on the top which indicated the UV light was on. The second use, the next day, I turned it on and went outside to work in the yard. When I came back in the house there was a smell of burnt wiring. I couldn’t find anything hot or burning in the house. The next day, the purple glow was not there when I started the sanitizer. There was no light from the UV bulb. I even opened the lid and depressed the safety switch to illuminate the bulb to make sure whether the bulb was on or not since it’s not bright. It was no longer working. That told me where the burnt wiring smell came from. Hoping it’s a one time issue rather than a sign of overall poor quality, I’m getting a replacement unit and sending the defective unit back. If the replacement unit works normally, I’ll edit this review and increase the star value. If the second unit is also defective I’ll return it for a refund and leave this review as is. NOTE TO AMAZON: When you’re sending an item to replace a defective item, don’t send it by wagon train. It shouldn’t take a week to get here. Second day and it’s not even shipped yet, the expected arrival day is next week. Poor service.
