Makes bedmaking a lot easier( hack included)
I love this pad. It is added protection which I seldom need, but it really helps hold my fitted sheet in position so making my bed daily a lot less difficult. I have heart problem, and I have a very heavy, thick matteress. It is a struggle For me to lift my mattress up to properly tuck the fitted sheet under the matteress. Now, if no one is available to help me change my bedding, which is often the case, I can postpone it and still feel confident that my bed is both tidy and clean for awhile longer.One thing that I did was to put a key ring with a snap hook at each corner of the bedframe , secured by a zip tie to the bedframe. Then I attached a Small D Ring Caribeaner Clip to the key ring and clip it around elastic at each corner of the pad. IT AMAZES ME! Life just got a little easier. The pad never shifts or wrinkles till it is unhooked to remove the pad for laundry.

Great for Thin Mattress Nursing Home Beds
These are well made and cover the entire, thin nursing home mattress on which used. Size Twin Extra Long was the perfect fit for the same-sized bed. These covers — situated over a waterproof sheet and under a regular bed sheet covered in the center with a free-standing, large cloth bed pad with waterproof underside (not plastic) and on top of that free-standing pad a disposable, cloth-like material, waterproof underside “Chuck” (no plastic underside because they slide all over the place…useless) — kept the mattress completely dry after a number of incontinence occurrences. The 4 sewn-on mattress straps are strong but likely best used on a thin medical mattress for best fit and durability…trying to get the straps around the corners of a very thick, non-medical mattress, i.e.,15-18 inches, could possibly create enough tension to cause the straps to snap off, though, they seem to be well sewn on. Worth a try. (The setup of all items above is exactly how, at least, one post-hospital stay physical rehab facility arranges its incontinence patient beds, and I found all needed items on Amazon. Allows for aging and/or physical recovery with dignity.

Perfect fit for a sofa as well as bed.
After many attempts to protect my sofa with pet blankets that covered only part of the sofa and bunched up, I decided to buy a waterproof mattress pad. OMGosh! I wish I had thought of this sooner. The pad covers my sofa completely and the straps tuck under both back and seat pillows securing the pad. I no longer have to worry about dog hairs and grime on guests. The pad comes off easily and washes nicely. Happy, happy customer.

Good product.
I have purchased several of these after finding success with the first one. They wash well and make life much easier for the caregiver. They do not hold odor like some pads. Although adding a cup or more of ammonia is a good tip for strong odors. The only negative is that the elastic straps have a tendency to rip from the pad itself. They could be secured better.

Much better then the smaller mattress covers
My person that I use these for was leaking past the shorter version that just fits across the bed at mid mattress. So I tried these and they are fabulous. Easy on and off, saves changing the whole bed, and the person loves them, they are soft and comfortable to sleep on.

Not waterproof in the corners in case of spills
Works well however I noticed that when liquid is being spilled in the corners, it will stain the mattress by dripping on the sides so I would not recommend for that usage.
