Well-Engineered, Budget-Friendly, & Easy to Assemble
I recently bought the black 5-tier, 18-cube Mavivegue bookcase, and I’m really happy with it. Putting it together was easier than I thought. Each cube fits together well, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I also like how simple it is to take apart and set up again. I recently moved and had no trouble taking it apart and rebuilding it in a new layout, which shows the design is well thought out. The metal tubes and plastic connectors fit snugly, so the whole bookcase feels sturdy once it’s assembled. Here’s a quick tip: Be careful with the small plastic hammer that comes in the kit. If you hit the uncovered metal tubes too hard, they may bend slightly, making them more difficult to fit into the connector holes. Using the plastic covers when tapping things into place helps prevent that.For the price, this bookcase is a great value, especially considering the amount of storage it offers. The 18 cubes hold almost half of my large book collection. One 18-cube bookshelf holds around 350 books. The books in my photo aren’t alphabetized yet; I just stacked them quickly to see if I’d need one or two more units for the rest of my collection. The cubes can hold a substantial amount of weight, and their modular design makes it easy to adjust the size or shape to fit your space. Overall, it’s affordable, sturdy, practical, and just what I needed.

Love them great quality
Okay I absolutely love these they are great I do not recommend putting anything heavy on them unless you plan on gorilla gluing the post together and I say this from personal experience if you are putting heavy items on these put them on the lower shelves but I highly recommend gluing the rods to the frames as they will pull apart if you don’t but the quality and the ease of assembly cannot be beat I have bought four sets of these things so far and we have them in my room as well as my daughter’s room for her Lego setups and have had zero trouble with the exception of them pulling apart with heavy items so it is a very simple fix to just glue them together now yes I did use gorilla glue but I am just a fan of that particular adhesive because I know it works

Not really a bookcase, but doing what I need it to do.
I really only wanted a 2X2 in white, but I had to order the 16 cube (not great price difference). I only needed to set up 4 cubes. Assembly was quite easy and only a little finicky. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble the 4 cubes. I would really not call it a bookcase. It is really a light duty storage shelf. I only have put light things in it (no books). I could not fit notebooks in it upright. I have to put them in top first. I think it is described pretty well on the website. It is not solid at all. It is small pipes put into plastic end pieces. The bottoms, tops and sides are a heavy vinyl-like fabric. That fabric stretches pretty tight (2 reinforcing rods under the fabric) and seems to make it fairly stout. It is certainly not a beautiful piece of furniture, but it is doing what I need it to do. I still have 12 cubes that I can use for something, somewhere. I am NOT sending them back.

Great for organizing!!
Nice shelf unit! I got this shelf unit for my craft room. They are nice size cubes and actually hold a lot of stuff if you purchase cube drawers to go into them. It was pretty easy to put together and they sent some really nice tools to do the job with as well. There are several ways you can build the cubes and they give you directions for each. So choice is a nice thing! I really liked the color … it was a true BLACK, not a faded grey!! The shelves are completely versatile!! Two thumbs up!!

Less customizable than advertised; beware sharp rod edges
I purchased this to use in an upstairs room with low walls under a sloped ceiling. From the photos, I assumed it was more or less customizable in terms of how the cubes went together, so I thought I would be able to assemble a wider shelf with fewer vertical tiers to fit the low ceiling clearance.Unfortunately this isn’t the case. The unit is designed to be 3 cubes wide x 6 cubes high, and the configuration is limited by the fact that 14 of the plastic connectors are “outside” pieces that only have holes on one side. It is impossible to assemble all 18 cubes if it is not in the 3w x 6h configuration. Since I chose this product specifically for the number of cubes, I can’t use it as intended because 6 cubes is too tall for the room. I would have preferred that all the connectors be double-sided, perhaps with caps for the holes if they were concerned about the outer appearance.Sturdiness: Properly assembled (use the included plastic mallet to make sure rods are securely installed), the shelf is better quality than I’d expected. The rods will definitely bend under heavy weight, so it’s a light-duty unit, but for lightweight items like clothing or shoes it should be fine. The Oxford cloth covers look cheap, but are pretty standard for this caliber of shelf unit. At this price point I’d say this product is about as good as you could expect.Caution: I sliced a large chunk out of my finger while wrestling the shelf into position when the end of a rod slipped out of its slot and pinched my hand between the metal edge and the connector. The metal ends are sharp and WILL cut you, so be careful!

Perfect For My Small Apartment
It took about 1 hour to put it all together by myself, but it is a really nice option for my apartment since it is small enough to not take up too much space, but also has plenty of compartments to allow for storage of items in the cubes or on top. It holds a lot of my manga, gaming guides and art books, as well as cook books, and games/puzzle. I would highly recommend this product for small apartments for some extra space!
