The Tapo Hub H100 is required for operation, providing extended battery life and wider coverage using Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless technology. The Hub supports up to 64 sensors, features a 90dB ringer with 19 tones, and ensures continuous automation even without internet connectivity. *Note: This device operates exclusively within the specified Sub-1G band. Please note that different regions support different frequency bands. Ensure that the devices or hubs you intend to use are compatible with the same Sub-1G band.
REQUIRES Tapo Hub- To utilize Tapo motion sensor T100, a Tapo hub H100 (sold separately) and a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network connection are required. Tapo T100 communicates with the hub via the Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol, which provides extended battery life for the sensor and a wider coverage area compared to Wi-Fi. The Tapo Hub H100 can connect up to 64 sensors simultaneously and includes a 90dB ringer with 19 different ringing tones. The Tapo Hub also enables the use ofSmart Action for sensors and other Tapo devices even when the network is disconnected and is highly responsive.
Wide Range Detection- The device is capable of detecting motion within a 120 degree angle and up to a range of 23 feet (7 meters).
Adjustable Viewing Angle and Sensitivity- Its compact size makes it effortless to install, and it comes equipped with an adjustable body and customizable detection range options of 3m, 5m, and 7m.
Smart Action- Smart Actions incorporate Tapo T100 as a common precondition. Control your lighting or other Tapo smart devices by deploying a motion sensor.
Long-Lasting Performance- Using only a single CR2450 battery (included), the device can operate for up to 2 years, assuming that motion is detected less than 100 times per day.
Real-Time Notification- Using the Tapo App, it is simple to establish a custom time frame, and the device will activate the Hub alarm and send notifications via the Tapo App whenever motion is detected within the designated time period.
3M Adhesive or Magnetic Mounting- Using the 3M adhesive and magnetic base, the T100 can be installed indoors in almost any desired location.

Best DIY Security Solution I’ve Found So Far
So glad I made the switch to Tapo! Works well so far, connects fully with the rest of my TP-Link products and Google Home, and this allows me to have sirens in various locations throughout my house. I have a detached garage and needed something to alert me if garage doors were opened overnight and this works perfectly for that. I have one in my garage and one right by my bed so neighbors and myself will hear the alarm if someone’s attempts to break in again. The price was definitely reasonable in my opinion and ive already mentioned how I feel about its compatibility, especially between google, tapo, and kasa. Switching to TP-Link products has allowed me to greatly increase security around my home and ive had a hard time finding smart home products that do what I need them to and integrate with my other brand products.Couple Minor Cons:- Alarm could be a little louder, Currently Need One On Each Floor. A dedicated siren would be a great item to see come out, not like this compact hub/chime.- TP-Link needs to make a smart keypad that integrates with door sensors and alarm

Great addition to my Tapo setup (requires Tapo hub)
I already have over 20 Tapo smart home devices and have been extremely happy with all of them, so I had high expectations for the motion sensor — and it didn’t disappoint! Setup was quick and easy, and it integrates seamlessly with the rest of my Tapo devices. The sensor is responsive, reliable, and has great range. It’s been perfect for automating lights and adding an extra layer of convenience to my smart home. Highly recommend to anyone already in the Tapo ecosystem! Just an fyi though- this requires a Tapo hub to work, consider buying them together it’s usually cheaper

The quality is excellent, and it has performed even better than I expected. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the design and usability.Overall, this has been a great value for the price, and I’m extremely satisfied. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to others looking for something reliable and well-made.

Very good
I just got the hub with the tapo door/window sensor. I’m not a tech savvy person so I did have a bit of trouble pairing the device. But once I got it set up it worked exactly as expected. The app is very easy to use. Keeps a log of when ny door was opened and shut. I set up notifications and i do get alerts on my cell phone when the door is open. I set the hub to alarm when the door is opened but you can customize when or if you want alarm to sound when your door or window is opened. I agree with the other reviews. The alarm on the hub isn’t very loud. I’m using it on my attic door and the hub is plugged into my bedroom a few feet away. I’m planning on getting a sensor for my front door so not sure if I’ll here the alarm on the downstairs hub very good from my bedroom. Even though im using it as a security system It really isn’t a real security system. so it’s good for what it is and better then nothing. I recommend it and plan on putting these on my patio door and windows to.

The Sidekick My Sensor Couldn’t Live Without
I didn’t set out to buy a smart hub with a chime. But when I got the Tapo temperature/humidity monitor for my insurance discount, I found out it won’t work alone—it needs this hub like a sidekick in a buddy movie.Setup was pretty painless: plug it in, connect it to Wi-Fi through the app, and it’s ready to be the middleman between your sensors and your phone. Once it was in place, my temperature monitor started sending updates instantly, and now I can get alerts no matter where I am. The chime is surprisingly loud for its size—great if you want audible alerts, less great if you forget it’s armed and scare yourself half to death. The size is nice and compact, so it doesn’t hog outlet space. That said, you’re committing one outlet permanently to it, and it’s another device in your home that needs occasional firmware updates. Also, if you’re not using other Tapo smart devices, it feels a bit overkill—like having a full-time butler just to answer the door twice a year.In the end, it’s a necessary piece of the puzzle if you want the Tapo environmental monitor to work, and it does its job well. Just be prepared for your smart home family to grow whether you planned for it or not.

It senses motion as expected
I got one of these to automate a pair of Tapo L535 lights in our loft/office space and it works absolutely fantastic for it. You can adjust the sensitivity for motion (which seems to use a combination of distance sensing as well as actual motion), and the base that’s attached to it is magnetic so you can slap it out of anything metal right out of the box (in my case I put it on a filing cabinet). And thanks to the Tapo app you can tie it into a bunch of your other Tapo smart devices like bulbs or the smart plugs.

Never functioned on network
Bought this H100 hub to use with a couple of T310 temperature sensors. Initially set it up and the sensors connected fine, correctly read temps from across the house. But even though setup was normal, the hub never turned blue, so I could only look at the sensors when my phone was connected to my WiFi network, it kept saying internet was “unstable” (1GB fiber service). Pushed the reset button for factory settings, tried to reconfigure with the hub plugged in about a foot away from WiFi antenna, it would never complete the setup, got stuck on “pairing” screen. Returning it to Amazon along with the sensors, with regrets. Aside from my wasted time, it seemed like a slick system….
