I was worried my dog would knock this over or even jump over it. I have a Pomeranian who is very determined when I try and keep him on the other end of the house so I can have people come in the house. So despite his best efforts, this held up well and worked. I can put it up and down easily and with my back, that’s a big deal. So it’s quick, easy and effective as well as affordable.

Not the easiest to use
The locking mechanism isn’t the easiest to use. It could be because I’m using it at the top of the stairs and there is molding there. When it latches it’s pretty sturdy but sometimes it feels like I’m going to break the handle off when I’m trying to lock it in place

Works!I bought a used in very good condition to save a few bucks.A broken plastic piece of the gates outer corner fell onto floor upon opening. Box was in good condition. I’m keeping anyway, its entegrity and functionality remain. I would buy again! NEW
